I am new to yoga. Which classes are suitable for yoga beginners?
All our classes are «open level», so our teachers are used to support each student individually in one class. We usually recommend to start with Hatha Yoga, but you are warmly welcome in all of our classes.
What do I wear and what do I bring?
Wear something that makes you feel comfortable. The clothing should not be too tight, as it should allow you to move freely. Yoga will be done without shoes. You don’t have to bring anything with you. We have yoga mats, belts, blocks, cushions and blankets for free use.
When are you open?
We open our doors 20 minutes before class, in the mornings 10 minutes before class.
When visiting for the first time we kindly ask you to be there early enough, so we can explain everything to you and show you around.
Can I take a shower after class?
In Hergiswil there is no possibility to shower after class.
I am super stiff. I will make a fool of myself in a yoga class…
WRONG! We always point out that flexibility is a nice side effect of a regular yoga practice. We don’t expect you to do acrobatics on your yoga mat. Every person who is interested in yoga is warmly welcome at our studio.
I have physical complaints. Can I still practice Yoga?
Absolutely! Yoga can help to make you feel better if you have physical complaints (also when having psychological complaints). Please inform us before class about your health issues!
Can I visit my first class for free?
Yes, we do offer a free try out lesson at Living Yoga.
